just what I needed thanks 
I added a configuration flex and suppressed the first mate for the lid so I can show it open or closed

Exellent modeling - exellent assembly 
I changed some constraints to make it open and the handle open  (advanced mates - angles) and it works like a charm. Wish it was a 1400 model, so now ...
